Judy Kibinge is a filmmaker, writer, producer, and the founder of Docubox, an East African documentary film fund.

Before becoming a filmmaker, Kibinge worked in the advertising industry.
In 1999, she left the advertising industry to pursue a filmmaking career.
Since 2002, Kibinge has produced, written, and directed several acclaimed films and documentaries, including Something Necessary (2013), Dangerous Affair (2002), and Project Daddy (2004).
Her debut film, Dangerous Affair (2002), won the overall award at the 2003 Zanzibar Film Festival.
Kibinge later won Best Director at the 2009 Kalasha Awards for her film Killer Necklace (2008).
She is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars).
